Dear Mr Ahmed Abid,
My wife and I would like to thank you for inviting us to such a wonderful event. The film  you have produced certainly tells the saddest story of thousands of Bangladeshi. People like us who were born and grew up in a village can easily understand your message – it  allows us a thought process and realization of what we have been doing for our country and for our people.

If I look back at my childhood I can clearly visualize how good we were, our culture, and our feelings for each other. I still firmly believe most of our people are decent and continue to have feelings for each other; we still believe in family values. We all can do something as individuals, as Bangladeshi nationals, and take opportunities as we have a good education, a good job or an established profession. Your initiative and hard work really encourage us to do something and I believe we can all think about that and contribute to our nation; of course, the government must place this issue within a legal framework.

Yesterday I was so shocked that I could not sleep, my heart was almost broken, and I   finally had to leave before the documentary finished. I could easily see the faces of thousands of people to whom I belong. I can see what they are saying, what they are feeling, and what help they want from us. Mr Abid, again I would like to thank you for your hard work, your initiatives and for your creativity. Please let us know if there is any way we can assist in your further development.
Regards,

Dear Rumee …,

…Aaro bhaalo laaglo eta bhebe je aapni nijer shopno-r dike je egiye jaachen, aamra shobaai ta shob shomaye korte paarina…

…Jaani this has come after a very long struggle, lots of hard work over the years and a quiet determination…

you know what: the storyline of the movie is reminding me of the novel “The Kite Runner”.

Take care

P/ KOLKATTA/INDIA.
